Card #4 - OCTOBER 2nd - Let’s go to the movies

And finally, here is the card in a box.  There are 3 inserts to this card, as well as a money holder on the back (cash is not included!).  Each layer consists of a red piece with the flaps that are glued inside the box, a white piece on top of the red, then more defining image.

The back insert is the camera, the Insert in front of the camera is the movie board, and the front insert is a popcorn box and drink cup.

I’ll show you the pieces of each insert and then show the insert completed.  You should assemble the inserts before you put them in the box.

And 9 pieces to the popcorn and soda layer

These are the 3 inserts once you’ve put your corresponding pieces together:

The cloud in my brain has passed!

I can't believe it has been more than a year since my last post here!  And so you ask, what's my excuse?  Actually, I have two excuses:  1)  Life got in the way, and 2) I had a brain fart ... I couldn't remember how to get into my account!  I know - lousy excuses but I promise to make up for my absence.

Here are a few cards I recently finished.  Hope you enjoy them.  And if you've seen on the news that Florida is the only state in the lower 48 that doesn't have snow on the ground, don't think "lucky Rita".  It was 24 degrees when I was driving to work this morning!  So the only reason we don't have snow is because it's too dry here!

The first is a simple card but more importantly, I finally got to play with my Cricut again!  What with the holidays and all the classes I've been preparing for and teaching, I just haven't had much time to play!  Inside it uses a new CTMH stamp "I didn't forget your birthday ... I'm just extending the celebration!".  Boy, can I relate to that sentiment!

It's a little hard to see on this one, but the white piece is embossed, using my Cuttlebug, and I cut the leaves on my Cricut.  Ain't tools great??.

Boy, I struggled with this one.  When I found the paper at a garage sale, I really liked it.  But once I started working with it, I found I just wasn't that crazy about it.  I used the Cricut to cut an oddly flapped card.  What I do love about the card are those cool new CTMH flower buttons!
So enjoy for now.  I'll be back soon ... now that I remember my password!

Survivor Card

I designed this card as a fund raiser for this year's Relay for Life in The Villages, FL. The company I work for, Mike's Maintenance, is participating with a team for the first time this year. We are doing a number of fundraisers - one of which is selling this card for $4.00 each. It was designed using a stamp my sister, Margie, bought for me at Hobby Lobby.

If you are interested in purchasing one or more, please feel free to contact me! All proceeds go to Relay for Life.
